Well...well...well...

What can we say? Where shall we start? Oh boy! Guess the beginning is the best place, huh? LOL...We ask that you have patience. This is a 'catch-up' story of sorts. We'll bring it to ya via much pleasure and reality.

With today being Friday the 5th day of December and us arriving on Wednesday the 12th day of November, I'll have to resort to my memory, which works a lil' slower than it did, say, 10 years ago, right? Anywayz, here goes! Whew!

Leaving Austin on that Tuesday morning was C-R-A-Z-Y!!!! Our flight left at 6:25 a.m. and getting to the airport was an adventure. Made it there with a little time to spare...'little' being the operative word here. We are traveling with friends from Austin...Brannen, Sarah and Miles, their 18-month old. Brannen plays mean drums and will be directing the band that he and Dwayne will be a part of in Shanghai.

Imagine check-in. I've got a blind man on my arm with five pieces of luggage in tow and they have the cutest baby boy who is really sleepy since he was just picked up from the babysitter and being dashed off to the airport! They have five pieces of luggage as well. We get to the counter to be greeted by a sistah who pretended to be happy to see us. We are all looking saggy-eyed, yet glad to finally be at this point. I'm so lethargic, that our final bag that is waiting to be checked in has changed colors. I swear, while packing the damn thing at home five days earlier, it was black. For some reason, as it sat behind that counter at the airport, it had turned green! Yes friends...and I began to trip out thinking that someone had lifted our luggage!! Oh yes, you know how I am...absolutely determined...until that not so happy sistah looked at the tag and of course it read 'Lorenzo Dwayne Jackson' and all I could do was smile. We then discover that same black/green bag would cost us $130 to be thrown around and tossed on that jet! Guess what? That made the sistah happy...LOL...LOL...
